Opening weekend will be an exciting time both on and off the track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the EV Rally returns to ‘The Racing Capital of the World’ on Saturday, May 12, 2012. Off track elements include the Celebration of Automobiles featuring vehicles from the past, present, and future converging on the historic track! The Emerging Technology location will feature electric cart racing in the Purdue Grand Prix, Alternative Fuel Ride and Drives, and the EV Rally. EV Rally participants will have the opportunity to take their “plug in” automobiles on a lap around the famous IMS oval. At Greening the Heartland 2012, we will explore interdependent elements of sustainability. While green buildings are critical components in the design of sustainable communities, their key advantages rely on relative pathways and infrastructure - a context we will address in the conference as watts, water, waste and wheels. "Waste to Energy, Chemicals, Fuels, and Heat" is the topic of this year's annual Energy Forum at the Lugar Center for Renewable Energy.
